NEW HUMANITY - NEW WORKS - NEW NATIONS

All of our world's problems stem from our broken human nature, and its broken relationship with God, others and creation. We believe that when we live and work from the new humanity that Jesus gives and the values and culture that he taught, we can create new societies and nations in microcosm. Which can be a light and a hope to wider society, having a transformative effect and our workplaces and vocations provide a strategic opportunity for this to be realized.

This is not wishful thinking but has been done before in history with the early church in Rome and St Patrick in Ireland. More recently we have historical accounts of observable national transformation through men like William Carey in India, Abraham Kupyer in the Netherlands, Nielsen Hague in Norway, and John Calvin's Geneva.

Moreover, when local churches begin to see their city as their God given areas of responsibilty and start to collaborate with other churches in the city for the welfare of the city it creates countless opportunities for the kingdom to come and God`s will to be done in the city the same way it done in heaven. As the city begins to see the collective church work together for the good of others who are not yet members of the church they will begin to once again believe our gospel because they will see our love among each other and for the city itself.

The Nova Project is a non profit organization in Geneva that firstly seeks to disciple and mobilze workplace believers to utilize the resources of the gospel to “live and work wisely”, “ to reintegrate their work and faith”, “to live out God`s mission at work and find true meaning on the job” as a witness and testimony to draw others to Christ.

Secondly we work with local churches to stimulate a missional impulse to collabrote and create innovative initiatives that improve the spiritual, social, economic and environmental climate of the city. Projects that drive action on the ground to create real change in lives of our citizens and take us one step further to just and sustainable development of our cities and societies.

Vision:

The Nova Project works to disciple the city by re integrating kingdom values in every sector of society through empowered missional workplace believers and the local church.

Mission:

To disciple workplace believers and catalyze the church to be a missional presence that tramsforms workplaces and the city society with the values of the kingdom.

Our Strategy:

Working across three interrelated pillars we empower professionals in the workplace; and the communities of faith they attend to:

Reintegrate faith and spiritual wisdom into their working lives and vocations to enjoy a life of meaning and to be on mission on the job as they contribute to the development of their society through their work.

Open windows of imagination through which we can see a better world, and through merging design thinking, business modelling and theology, design and execute innovative projects that spark spiritual awakening, socio economic development, and cultural renewal in their workplace, cities and developing nations.

Create, support and multiply workplace communities that provide a place of meaningful friendships, spiritual support and missional opportunies. To have a community within the workpalce that envisions together new ways of adding value to  the organization, its culture and stakeholders and the city at large through wisdom and faith.
